Mark Osborne
Supported by a sport management diploma, Mark’s professional involvement in the fitness industry began over 20 years ago. Arising from a natural aptitude for all sports, Mark has now combined his life-long quest for the constant setting and achievement of new fitness goals with his passion and enthusiasm for teaching and training to create Sparta Fitness Holidays. Having worked across the UK and in Saudi Arabia, Mark has an unparalleled range and depth of fitness experience which includes: - Personal Trainer- Pilates instructor- Successful Ironman triathlete, cyclist and rugby player- Windsurfing instructor-Masseur.

The Therapy and Holistic Specialists

Paulina Golebiowska
Running her own practice as a fully qualified and insured Therapist, Paulina specializes in rehab and holistic massage, reflexology, Reiki and Hopi Ear Candling. With a passion and extensive knowledge of Physiotherapy and Complementary Therapies, Paulina provides a strong alternative approach to health and fitness which compliments the individual and group training programmes devised by Sparta fitness trainers.

Jo Lee
A qualified yoga and personal trainer, Jo brings a range of holistic and fitness expertise to the Sparta team which include fitness assessments, nutrition consultations, goal setting, managing weight loss, strength and flexibility programmes and postural analysis. As Jo says: “Living with great health and fitness helps us to function well both physically and mentally in our daily lives……Guiding people to manage, balance and achieve their goals so they are fully able to experience freedom in their bodies is my goal…..I am passionate about health and fitness from a holistic view point and believe we need to be aware of balance in our lives….By combining excellent nutrition, varied and fun exercise which includes yoga for mind/body connection, rest and play we are on our way to a full and satisfying life!”

Alix Gregory
Alix is a highly qualified sports massage therapist and trainer. She specialises in management and rehabilitation of sports injuries, through advanced massage techniques and personal training. Focusing on postural analysis and correction, using core stability training, balance training and flexibility improvement. Alix has been working in the fitness industry for several years and is at present working in central London as a freelance personal trainer and sports massage therapist

The Instructors

Ahmed Dermish
As a former military officer, Ahmed has many years experience in training and maximizing performance through mental strength and physical exercise. Qualified with the YMCA in individual fitness training and group exercise, Ahmed skills have been bolstered by extensive experience within health clubs and for British Military Fitness. Ahmed’s expertise includes postural work through core training exercises, circuit based sport conditioning, strength training, and weight management. His military experience also provides strong leadership and motivational skills. Ahmed’s constant enthusiasm and encouragement define his belief that every individual brings something to the team and the right attitude is the first step to self improvement. Ahmed's clientele have included post-natal mothers, athletes, desk bound individuals requiring postural improvement, and 'weekend warrior' sport enthusiasts.

Ben Vickers
Ben has been in the fitness industry for 5 years. After leaving the army, where Ben served for 5 years in the infantry, Ben decided to pursue a career in fitness achieving his YMCA professional gym instructor award, personal training award and advanced running instructor award. He is also a Reebok core instructor and circuit teacher. Ben’s particular strength is in martial arts and boxing. He teaches boxing and Thai Boxing and is also an active fighter in the British Mixed Martial Arts circuit. Ben is known throughout the fitness industry for his passion and commitment to helping people achieve their goals and enjoy training. Fitness is a way of life and Ben believes in the all round benefits it brings to all those who embrace it.

Ben Jones
Ben currently works as the senior tutor at Lifetime Health & Fitness training fitness instructors and personal trainers. He started out in the fitness industry in 1996 as a part time fitness instructor while studying for his BSc in Physiology, after graduating and qualifying as a personal trainer Ben worked at a small private club in Somerset before moving to the exclusive Hogarth Club in Chiswick, London, enjoying life as a personal trainer and managing the health and fitness team. Ben specialises in nutrition and has been instrumental in assisting hundreds of clients with their weight loss goals through healthy eating and exercise plans.

John Tran
A competitive athlete and qualified personal trainer, John has a wealth of experience and understanding from the perspective of both a trainer and as a sportsperson. His specialist skills include, Thai/kickboxing, weight loss / gain, body toning / shaping, strength and flexibility training, postural correction and core strength, bodybuilding. More specifically, John has devised numerous successful weight focused programmes for both bodybuilding and weight loss.

Wayne Scripps
After training through Future Fit Wayne has spent several years working in Private Health Clubs in the London area. During which time he trained a variety of people of mixed ability and ages, working on cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength and endurance. His specialities lie in the motivating of clients to achieve their goal through encouragement and fun. He has recently moved to Scotland to pursue his passion for living the outdoor life, hiking in the mountains. I believe the key to achieving your fitness goals is "Commitment, consistency and hard work-and a little fun!"
